It’s not too late to stop SB8. It flew through the Senate and House before the impacted community had a chance to be heard! Now it sits on the Governor’s Desk, and if he does nothing, it will become law on Friday, February 21.

We are calling on the governor to VETO this bill and send it back to the Senate and House for another, hopefully more deliberate, conversation. Please call the Governor at 844-844-VETO and ask him to add your name to the list of those calling for the veto.

Next, please visit this page to email all legislators in just a few clicks. We have to make sure they hear from us in case the bill returns to the house and senate quickly. There are some suggested talking points and what to include.

Click the link, create your own message, add your subject line and hit send before they make their decisions!

Be sure to also go out to Twitter and let the legislators know you expect them to do the right thing when the bill comes back to them. The handles we could locate can be found here.

Lastly, please sign the petition at bit.ly/VetoSB8Petition.

Thank you!
